This potential law in California is bull shit, no matter what size of tv does not waste a lot of power or not enough to make a difference, and my statement here is coming from my 10 year experience in the consumer electronic industry!!!

i guess since the time this article came out the Californian legislature is expected to pass this stupid bill so if any Californians are reading this rise up as one voice and tell your representative that you do not want this to pass!!!
